"If I were to list my very favorite foods, wheat salad would most certainly be on the list. It is simple, slightly sweet, and uses ingredients I always keep in my pantry. I make it often and we think it is delicious!  First, cook the wheat berries. It is easy - simply put a cup of wheat berries (uncooked whole wheat) in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover the pan, and simmer for about an hour; until wheat berries are tender but still hold their shape.
